Silicone oil in itself isn't greasing, but only a basis for manufacturing of good greasings with a wide range of temperatures of application. Because of high moistening ability even dense silicone oils quickly spread from the surfaces greased with them therefore they can't play a role of konsistentny greasings. Organosiloksana are considered as good lubricants in the conditions of a hydrodynamic mode, but are inefficient at a boundary friction and considerably concede to hydrocarbonic oils. At PMS greasing of the loaded surfaces sliding is close to a dry friction. But there are exceptions: in a combination to the PMS high-carbonaceous steel bronze, aluminum, copper-lead alloys are well greased.
